vedana lagoon - hue; free sightseeing tour to the citadel, thien mu pagoda, tropical  garden and back to vedana lagoon

9.00 am
depart from vedana lagoon to the citadel. this takes 50 minutes during which time you can enjoy the landscape, watch buffalos ploughing ricefields and vietnamese farmers working on their farms.

9.50 am to 11.00 am
hue citadel. contemplate the beauty of the forbidden purple city. the huge task of rebuilding received a boost in 1993 when unesco listed hue as a world heritage site. take about 1 hour to visit this beautiful place.

11.15 am to 12.00 pm
leave the citadel and drive along the bank of the perfume river to thien mu pagoda. the 7-storey octagonal tower is a symbol of hue. spend 45 minutes visiting the oldest pagoda in hue.

12.00 pm
pick up at  the bus stop and transfer to the tropical garden restaurant. 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm is your free time. you can have lunch in a restaurant and go shopping at handicraft shops or galleries. alternatively, just take a rest in a cafeteria and view the daily life of hue people.

3.00 pm
return to the resort, perhaps to enjoy the sunset over the lagoon.
